Explanation of Mooring Registration Fee
When a member is licensed to operate a new (to them) mooring, a Mooring Registration fee becomes due.
This is a one-off, non-refundable fee, to offset the costs of removing abandoned mooring tackle and maintaining the fundus.
In the past, members paid a deposit, refundable on removing their mooring tackle on giving up a mooring position. This proved awkward on practical, accounting & liability bases, so the current scheme was agreed at an AGM.
